Smart Trainer Virtual Cycling on Real Roads

Smart trainer sessions do not have to happen in a fictional world. VirtualRide uses trainer data to move along real roads shown in Google Street View.

How trainer data becomes movement

VirtualRide reads live cycling data over Bluetooth. Power drives estimated forward speed when trainer does not provide usable speed; cadence and current pace stay visible during ride. Harder effort moves you along route faster. It is scenery-led training, not a structured workout engine or race platform.

Compatible setup

Any Bluetooth trainer that exposes FTMS or cycling power. Wahoo KICKR is a common case. Exact metrics vary by model and firmware. Keep firmware current and disconnect other apps before pairing. See the supported trainers list — among others, not exhaustive.

Web and iPhone app connect over Bluetooth. iPhone has no ANT+.
